Situated in the scenic Tees Valley, a vast area of countryside between the border of North Yorkshire and County Durham, our spacious home is within proximity of the seaside towns of Redcar and Saltburn-by-the-Sea. Each of the seventy five ensuite rooms is comfortably furnished and well equipped to create a pleasing environment for our residents on either a short or long term basis. Our team of experienced carers tailor support to each of our residents, generating a calm atmosphere for those living with dementia.
With a well-tended garden, we encourage our residents to get green fingered and many enjoy growing plants in the greenhouse or taking time out in the summerhouse when the weather is fine. Raised planting beds give additional access to wheelchair users who wish to take part in gardening activities. We offer: Nursing Care, Residential Care, Dementia Care and Respite Care
The scenic Tees Valley, and the seaside towns of Redcar and Saltburn-by-the-Sea are the backdrop for life at Yew Tree.

Our residents will be able to keep active and continue their individual interests as they would at home. Specialist Lifestyle Support workers are located within each home, planning in advance a full programme of engaging events and projects to promote social interaction while also targeting mental and physical stimulation for people living with us.
Our homes benefit from health and beauty treatments, baking, our dedicated male orientated “Men’s Sheds”, trips and many more. We try to engage with our local community as much as possible and have an open door policy for family and friends.
We recognise that mealtimes are a focal part of any day. Nutritional well-being is vital to maintaining a healthy mind and body. Our regularly reviewed menus with resident input, provide a well-balanced nutritious choice of food which also caters for people who require special diets. There is an alternative menu available just in case people would like a change. Drinks, snacks and nibbles including fruit are available through the day and the night.
We also welcome residents who like to bake, cook or help themselves when they would like. We can also cater for parties and celebrations for the people who live in our homes and their families and friends.
Residents are looking forward to taking part in some light exercises on Thursday 28th September as our regular instructor will be here going through some armchair exercises.
Yew Tree has a history of welcoming volunteers to the home to support the people who are cared for and live in the home. We are hugely grateful to all of our volunteers and we are proud to bring the community closer to the people living in the home through our volunteers.
If you are interested in being a volunteer at Yew Tree or any of our homes, please get in touch through the Contact Us form on this website.
