Located on the outskirts of Middlesbrough is Bramble Lodge, a supportive and welcoming home built over two floors, and specialising in care for people living with dementia. We provide: Nursing Care, Dementia Care and Respite Care.
The care delivered by nurses and care assistants is tailored to each individual resident, aimed at allowing each person to build on their existing strengths in a safe and therapeutic environment.
Each of our ensuite rooms is comfortably furnished and well-equipped to create a pleasant home for our residents. Our friendly and attentive team, use a person-centred approach to care, generating a calm atmosphere and creating an enjoyable living experience for all.
A dedicated Lifestyle Support worker organises and runs a full programme of social activities and enables hobbies for our residents. This allows people living with us to continue with their interests and develop friendships with the local community.
Our residents will be able to keep active and continue their individual interests as they would at home. Specialist Lifestyle Support workers are located within each home, planning in advance a full programme of engaging events and projects to promote social interaction while also targeting mental and physical stimulation for people living with us.
Our homes benefit from health and beauty treatments, baking, our dedicated male orientated “Men’s Sheds”, trips and many more. We try to engage with our local community as much as possible and have an open door policy for family and friends.
We recognise that mealtimes are a focal part of any day. Nutritional well-being is vital to maintaining a healthy mind and body. Our regularly reviewed menus with resident input, provide a well-balanced nutritious choice of food which also caters for people who require special diets. There is an alternative menu available just in case people would like a change. Drinks, snacks and nibbles including fruit are available through the day and the night.
We also welcome residents who like to bake, cook or help themselves when they would like. We can also cater for parties and celebrations for the people who live in our homes and their families and friends.
We will be holding a coffee afternoon on Friday 13th September from 2pm and local singer ‘Janie St John’ will be here to entertain everyone! Please do come along for an enjoyable afternoon.
There will also be a MacMillan Coffee Morning on Monday 25th September at 10.30 am. Everyone is welcome so do come along and support us and enjoy a nibble and a natter!!
Welcome to Hayley O’Neil, our new Manager. She is experienced in different areas of Nursing Care and we are sure she will be an asset to our home.
Bramble has a history of welcoming volunteers to the home to support the people who are cared for and live in the home. We are hugely grateful to all of our volunteers and we are proud to bring the community closer to the people living in the home through our volunteers. If you are interested in being a volunteer at Bramble or any of our homes, please get in touch through the Contact Us form on this website.
