The popular coastal town of Scarborough provides Eagle View a stunning backdrop for our forty, attractively decorated ensuite rooms. Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms with their own belongings and furniture from home, as we like you to feel comfortable and as at home as possible.
Daily life consists of delicious meals, a range of activities and ample lounge, activities and dining spaces where residents can enjoy a healthy social life.
Our residents will be able to keep active and continue their individual interests as they would at home. Specialist Lifestyle Support workers are located within each home, planning in advance a full programme of engaging events and projects to promote social interaction while also targeting mental and physical stimulation for people living with us.
Our homes benefit from health and beauty treatments, baking, our dedicated male orientated “Men’s Sheds”, trips and many more. We try to engage with our local community as much as possible and have an open door policy for family and friends.
We recognise that mealtimes are a focal part of any day. Nutritional well-being is vital to maintaining a healthy mind and body. Our regularly reviewed menus with resident input, provide a well-balanced nutritious choice of food which also caters for people who require special diets. There is an alternative menu available just in case people would like a change. Drinks, snacks and nibbles including fruit are available through the day and the night.
We also welcome residents who like to bake, cook or help themselves when they would like. We can also cater for parties and celebrations for the people who live in our homes and their families and friends.
Residents will be off to watch a game of Boccia on 7th August. This is similar to bowls but you throw leather balls. We had a taster session here a while ago and everyone enjoyed it.
Ross Cole will be here again on 8th August at 2pm. He will be singing all the great 60’s and 70’s songs and residents and staff will be letting their hair down and having a boogie.
We will be having a visit from Animal House Birds of Prey Rescue Centre on 17th August at 2pm. They will be bringing a range of birds for residents to look at.
Eagle View welcomes volunteers to the home to support the people who are cared for and live in the home. We are hugely grateful to all of our volunteers and we are proud to bring the community closer to the people living in the home through our network of hard working volunteers. If you are interested in being a volunteer at Eagle View or any of our homes, please get in touch through the Contact Us form on this website.
