Situated in the picturesque village of Norton, in the market town of Stockton on Tees, the refurbished Cedar Lodge provides a warm and welcoming environment from a team of highly trained and caring staff. Our fifty two ensuite rooms have been updated with the latest modern facilities and amenities and our residents are encouraged to personalise their own space with pictures and furnishings to ensure they feel at home. We offer: Nursing Care, Residential Care, Dementia Care and Respite Care.
Here at Cedar Lodge we enjoy a versatile programme of activities and events, with regular excursions to the nearly village high street and the local shops and community centres, and we use of our own minibus to go further afield.
Residents enjoy access to the secure landscaped gardens and are often found enjoying time there or the view from the conservatory.
Cedar Lodge benefits from a coffee shop on the premises and a hairdresser visits daily. We look forward to welcoming you here to learn more!
Our residents will be able to keep active and continue their individual interests as they would at home. Specialist Lifestyle Support workers are located within each home, planning in advance a full programme of engaging events and projects to promote social interaction while also targeting mental and physical stimulation for people living with us.
Our homes benefit from health and beauty treatments, baking, our dedicated male orientated “Men’s Sheds”, trips and many more. We try to engage with our local community as much as possible and have an open door policy for family and friends.
We recognise that mealtimes are a focal part of any day. Nutritional well-being is vital to maintaining a healthy mind and body. Our regularly reviewed menus with resident input, provide a well-balanced nutritious choice of food which also caters for people who require special diets. There is an alternative menu available just in case people would like a change. Drinks, snacks and nibbles including fruit are available through the day and the night.
We also welcome residents who like to bake, cook or help themselves when they would like. We can also cater for parties and celebrations for the people who live in our homes and their families and friends.
We have our Dementia Cafe on 2nd January between 1.30-4.00 pm where everyone gets together to chat and tell their stories. We do make this a light-hearted event and residents and families enjoy eating and drinking together.
On 12th January we have a Coffee Morning, open to everyone, so do come along and join us as we share many crafts together whilst enjoying a cup of coffee.
A Church Service will be held on 19th January between 10.00-11.45 with hymns and prayers. Our residents enjoy meeting up with friends from our local Church.
Cedar Lodge welcomes volunteers to the home to support the people who are cared for and live in the home. We are hugely grateful to all of our volunteers and we are proud to bring the community closer to the people living in the home through our network of hard working volunteers. If you are interested in being a volunteer at Cedar Lodge or any of our homes, please get in touch through the Contact Us form on this website.
